Pre-baby I was in the kitchen A LOT! I’m talking about 3 to 4 months before my little one was due, I went from eating out practically every night to rounding up the family (husband, sister-in-law) to taste my freshly baked goods daily.
Post-baby, I’ve been back to the kitchen once. (They really weren’t kidding when they say babies are a handful!) I used to love baking – bread, cupcakes, cookies…
I find the process of turning a sticky doughy lump into something aesthetically pleasing (most times) such a triumph. 2 weeks leading up to having baby, I was baking night and day. 5am some days, 11pm others. Denial perhaps? I like to call it ‘Taking my mind off things’.
I did have one specialty, well cant call it MY specialty as I loyally followed all the instructions in my ‘Ottolenghi’ cookbook.
“White chocolate and Cranberry cookies”
This was the request of darling husband; ‘Can you please make those yummy cookies again!’
With pride I share with you this recipe. If you love it go get the book. All the recipes are delish!
